Kookie

Hey everyone, I'm new here. My name is Laura, I own a registered Quarter Horse mare named Kookie (reg. Hollywoods Royal Rip). She is turning 9 this year. I have worked with her for over 3 years, though I just bought her last July. She came to me with an attitude problem, rearing, bucking, spinning, backing into electric fences, and many more problems. After working through that with her and breaking my collarbone and having to return back to square one, she is all better now and will do whatever I want to do with her. I am starting barrel racing this summer and I trail ride her mainly. I also jump her. The highest I've jumped her is 3'6'' on a trail.

I've been riding for 9 years, but quit lessons a year and a half ago because of disrespect they gave me when I broke my collarbone.

If anyone has a synthetic western saddle, size 16.5-17, black, for a decent price, please message me, I am looking for one so I don't have use my crappy old leather saddle for the show season.

Thanks!
Laura

Hi Laura! Welcome to Canterculture! You'll get no disrespect here, that I promise! Although I don't promise there aren't some self-proclaimed nutcases here, but they're pretty much harmless. :D That's awesome that you brought Kookie so far! Glad to hear the collarbone has healed!

About the saddle, if I were you, I would look into the Big Horn synthetic saddle, it's not too expensive (mine was $325.00 brand new) and it is by far the most comforatable saddle I have ever been in. Good luck!

Edited to add: I'm Kimberly, btw!

Welcome to CC :] Nice to have another member.

I broke my collarbone when I was 9, not fun, I feel your pain with that.

I have a synthetic western saddle, but it's brown. I'm not sure how big it is, I can measure it when I go out to the barn today. It comes with a headstall (that is leather) and you can have the saddle pad too. I'd like atleast $85 for it. If you're interested, let me know.
