my barn needs school horses badly! last year we lost 11 horses total (many of them 12-19 years old) and this year we've lost about 5. many of the horses lost were school horses and now we only have *counting* about 6 horses that we can trust with very young beginners. anyway, the barn is Acquibob Arabians Inc. located in Chesapeake Virginia so we are looking for horses close by in the state. also we need quarter horses or arabians preferably. PLEASE contact me if you have anything decent available that is trust worthy and not too expensive. it will have a good home where it will be taken care of.

Can I ask how the 16 horses were "lost"?

some were old, some coliced from the up and down heat (one of mine included), one broke his leg kicking another horse, one had some rare form of cancer in her neck, one sand coliced and had complications during surgery, and one was kicked by a Belgian and was paralyzed.

You said they were 12-19. 19 is not old.......at all... :(

i said many of them were, all the colicing ones were under 19 except one who was 25ish and the old ones were in their 30s

Are you looking specifically for Arabs? if not, or even if so, i woulg try the BLM, and pick up a few mustangs, or if you need certain breeds, always try a local horse rescue, that get a lot of realy amazing animals, and, to a goo home, bolth options are prety chepa for the most part! Good Luck!

Cash is a nice gentle guy. He loves children and dogs. He is quiet enough for anyone to ride. We are really sorry to be selling him and we hope to find him a loving home. He was trained to do western pleasure for an 8 yr. old and shown in 4H. The last few years he has been used for trail riding.

Jessie has had one owner and solid training. He's been a family horse, used for trail and the kids used him for 4-H. He has a great mind and attitude and he can do about anything you ask. Rides western, English, on the trail or in the ring. No vices, easy to work around, loves people.

I hope this helps you! The cute bay Arab was $5,000, I thought he really didn't fit a lesson program budget, and there was a QH mare, the same price. The links (highlighted) will take you right to the ads.

Hope it helped! :D

wow thanx everyone for trying to help us out! the owners of the farm are looking for horses that aren't too expensive, idk the price range but at this point i dont think they'll care how much they spend as long as we get good horses.

oh and to answer a question that i forgot to answer earlier, breed doesnt really matter but last year we made the mistake of buying 2 belgians to be used for bigger people and adults but they were too big for any of our instructors to handle. and the farm is Acquibob Arabian Horse Farm Inc. so arabs just fit more since our facilities were built for arab sized horses :)
