Inky, we will all miss you more than you could ever know. It's sad to think that they took you from us for the sole purpose of science. Rest in peace. May we meet again someday.

Mr clydus. And bonnie, his big sister. I miss them so much and still cry when i look at pictures of them. He had a stroke in the field which made him lose the strength in his back end and as it was cold his arthritis kicked in a stopped him from moving at all. The vet said he'd never regain the movement so i stayed with him in the field al night until the vet came back in the morning to put him to sleep. He died with his head resting on my knee.
Bonnie died shortly after as she pined away for him and gave up eating and drinking. She just gave up on life.
Love you bonnie and clyde!!!!!
Mariah. I have no idea what happened to my first mare. I was in a lease to own agreement with the owners, and they sold out from under me to someone in New York.
She's a 16 year old Saddlebred mare. About 15.2 and black.
So, wherever she is, i hope she's happy.

Heres some info on Barbaro:
Barbaro, Racehorse
Born: 29 April 2003
Birthplace: Kentucky
Died: 29 January 2007 (euthanization)
Best Known As: The 2006 Kentucky Derby winner who broke his leg in the Preakness
Barbaro won the first leg of horse racing's Triple Crown, the Kentucky Derby, in 2006, then broke down while running in the second leg, the Preakness Stakes, and never recovered. Because of his dominance in the Derby, Barbaro was heavily favored in the Preakness on 20 May 2006, but he fractured multiple bones in his right rear leg near the start of the race. The fractures were catastrophic. Barbaro was taken to the New Bolton Center, a special veterinary clinic at the University of Pennsylvania, where his leg was surgically repaired and where he remained under care for months. He developed laminitis, a life-threatening condition, in his left hind hoof in July of 2006. His primary veterinarian, Dr. Dean Richardson, called his chances "poor" at the time. But Barbaro rallied and continued to improve throughout 2006. In January of 2007 the New Bolton Center announced that Barbaro had suffered a "significant setback" with the discovery of separated tissue in his left hind hoof. The tissue was removed, but Barbaro's health declined and he was euthanized on 29 January 2007.
Barbaro won the Kentucky Derby by 6.5 lengths on 6 May 2006... Laminitis also led to the death of the 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat.

Awh this is a lovely thread to have.
Sorry about Sunny. And everyone else sorry about your losses. :(
Charlie- I don't have to write tonnes about you because we knew you were so special. You'd never do anything wrong, and it's a shame you had to suffer in the end. Love you always my piebald gal! :)

In memory of Dawn- She was such a great horse, who tought me the basics of riding, and was always patient. we got her when she was 25 she live to be 34, and was blind in her right eye. Not long after we got her she got a bad cut, and took years of rebilitation, and mannyyyy shots, but she never tryed to bite after all those painful shots. But saddly in the end everything was slowly shutting down, and managed to make it threw the night to say goodbye to my mom one last time. . . .='( After all the stuff she went through she looked like she was 18 years old, not a sign of sunken in eyes or swayed back. May she rest in peace, till I see her again
