I prefer western myself, it's a little hard to barrel race in a english saddle. The fact being, i'm going to fast without a saddle horn and my horse can be a little cold back.

I mostly do Western pleasure but Casper likes English more so we compromise. We do western and English.

There isn't a difference (as far as I know) but it is a new thing to me riding in a saddle like this.

An Aussie saddle is just another type of saddle and very comfortable(about an inch of padding but not too cooshy)If you want to know more about Aussie saddles go to www.downunderweb.com (http://www.downunderweb.com/saddleindex.htm)
