I told you guys before about my new job as a trainer. Well, this job is very fast moving and sometimes sad. I have to adjust to breaking a horse, training it, and sending it back home in 30 days. It's hard to say good-bye. The paint horse I just started already went home because he was doing so well. It was sad because we got along really well. So now I just started a little walker/quarter cross. Well, she is well along her way and we already have her trail riding by herself or leading the group. So she is going to be going home this weekend. I knew it was going to be hard to say good-bye...and eventually I will figure out how not to get attached so easily but I am still new at this game. I am used to a steady horse that may switch out every couple of months. But on a good note, I started on my new project and I am really excited about this one. He is a little blue roan paint pony that has two blue eyes and reverse socks on two of his legs. I love him to death. His name is Patches. Though he is already broke to ride and drive a cart, he is only 3 and still willing to learn anything. So, hopefully here soon I will be training him to jump. Luckily for me, he is owned by John and Becky (my bosses) so he is not leaving anytime soon. He is for sale but I think John knows I am interested in him so I think they might hold on to him for me until I can buy him. Or at least until I am done training him and find a new project. Patches is my dream horse though both in looks and personality. I am ecstatic about working with him. Well I will let you know of any new horses we get in. :D
