You need to make sure both of you are comforatable. Can you wait and find one that fits him and is comforatably for you, also?

What do you need it for? The first one and the last one are close-contact jumping saddles and the middle one is equitation.

Ask for tree widths and seat sizes. I'm assuming that since your pony is a Halflinger that they are wider in the back so they'd probably need a wider tree.

I've bought a saddle online without trying it first, but make sure you try it without a saddle pad first and make sure there are no gaps between the padding and the horses back, or else it will create pressure points. Also make sure they tree isn't broken! The seller would probably tell you, but you never know!

Good luck!

If all three fit your horse and are all suited to your needs... the third one is the one i like most... they are all very cheap for a saddle! Woo! :p

im just about to put on some more pics of others but i need one for jumping and the 2 aone the owner said he jummped in.
ive had all the saddles im trying checked but im more worried about eddy liking the saddle hes picky when it comes to saddles he wont do sitting trot in the second saddle so i dont think that one is on my list.
im pretty flexible with my saddles but i hate ones that are hard to handle, they drive me MAD!!!
ill put on more saddles when i can!!!

In my expierence, jumping saddles arn't all that comfy in the first place. But keep in mind this is coming from somone who only rides english to jump and show, never just because so I'm not that huge of an english fan any way.

If these are your only three options, it is more important for eddy to comfy than you seeing how he's doing most of the work so I would go with what ever fits him best. the third dosn't look to have much in the way of a back cushion and you said the second pinches him? That kinda narrows it down to the first. If it is not comfy for you just because of a lack of padding then there are sheep shin and gel pads made to fit over the seat for your comfort. hope this helps.

I'd go with Saddle 5. It looks comfy, and all-purpose.

Good luck! :)

Sorry i would answer your question but i dont know anything about english riding. I am a western girl so if you ever have any questions about western saddles i know alot about them. I would go with which everone is more comfortable for your horse cuz you can get used to it. It has to fit his curves than you will probably shape it as you ride.
