I was wondering how points on a horse works? i was just wondering becuse me and my soild paint placed high in some of our classes at a show and wondered how they worked.

The way it usually works is that if you have like 15 other horses in the class and you get first you get 6 points if you get 2nd 5, if you get 3rd place 4, and so on. although if their are only 3 or 4 people in the class and you get first I think you only get half a point if that. They can explain it exactly on paint website

Are you talking about the WP class? There were 7 in that class.

1st out of 7 probably get 5 or 6 points. I meant 1st out of 3 get maybe half a point.

Check your video, there were 7. Because when they announced 5th, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd, we knew it was between you and this other person.

it really just depends what circuit you are showing. open shows are diff than breed shows.

Idea: get a rule book at the next show you go to or download it from PHA

This was an All Breed Open show. It is called Dixie Planation All Breed Horse Show.

if it was an open show then look either in the rule book or on the class list. It should be in the fine print on the class list hand out (along with the qualifications for classes, what kind of tack is required, etc.)
