I found a snake!!!

I was walking to this barrels at my house to make a jump... so I looked in it to make sure there were NO snakes, and what do you know theres this snake thats about 15 inches long and it had green stripes and was black :eek: ... what kind of snake was it? Well anyway, I ran and told my mom and she came over and tryed to run it away but it just ran in the barrel. So, we just tiped it over and hes probebly still in there right now.

rahhahah. I love snakes, but horses don't. That probably wasn't the best idea. Maybe you should get a pitchfork, pick it up and throw it somewhere far away. Keep it away from you though. What if the barrel tips over and the horse gets bit. Neither of us know the type it could be poisonous. Lol. Be careful. :D

from what you describe of it it sounds like a garner snake it's not poisonous but since I haven't seen it I'd be careful and if you can kill it because it will only come back later probably after food,water or a place to rest so if it came once there was a reason for it

i once found a huge rat snake in my horse's stall as i went to put him away. yea. it was about 2 and a half feet long. anyways, i really have no advice but you should try to remove it, obviously. good luck.

Ohhhh, by the way it had bright green stripes on it and it was black....

I think it might be a garter snake we have them all over the place where i live....so there not dangerous
