My horse's first show!!

Wow...what a day!! Today was the first show ever for my horse Creek! And he was so good!! He was calm and reponsive...i thought he would be jumpy and scared...but he was being an absolute gentlemen...i didnt ride in any events i just walked him around and rode him for about half and hour to see how he would react to the other horses and the different place...i am taking it as slow as possible with him so i dont push him like i see at some western events with the horses out of control...he went in the trailer only taking about 2 tries on the way there than 3 on the way home...he was a little spoiled today because he got to eat hay and grass and wasnt ridden that much but he deserved it for being soo good!!...i seriously cant wait for the next show so i can bring him with!! :D

That's awesome! At Addie's first show (showmanship), she danced around, wouldn't stay still, and the person with her got last place...hehe. I've been trying to work on her a bit. But wow, your horse sounds calm.

(Of course, if I owned Addie, I'd happily place last every time :D )

Congradulations. My horse was good her first show too, but she had a little bucking spirit. Haha. She was also at the barn she boarded at too, since they had a show there.

my horse Dancer is really highspirited but i was amazed that when i took him to a horseshow and he didnt jump. I was also amazed wen he didnt spook in 2 parades and a grand entry at a rodeo :D
