What happened hun? Something go wrong with Toby?
I'm not a people person either. While I was at the horse show last Friday. A lady got really snooty with me. Before Gambit, I had a horse named Dakota, though briefly. I was working at a barn to board him and when things started going sour, I told them I needed to find a new place and they turned on me. Dakota wasn't registered and I only had a bill of sale on a piece of notebook paper. They refused to allow me to take Dakota, going as far as saying I was trying to steal him!! Whenever I informed the cops of my bill of sale, they said that with legal documentation, I have no real claim to him with him being on their property. So I was forced to give him up and to me, they stole him. Later the lady informed me that that was her genuine plan. Anyways, the lady that was snooty with me Friday, was a friend of the barn owners. She came up to me with a snide look and informed me of how good of a horse Dakota was!! Then she happily, and most definitely satisfied at the tears in my eyes, sauntered away without a care. People need to roast in hell!

Oh I really wanted too but what would it have gotten me. As my husband tried to remind me, what goes around comes around and she'll get what she's coming too.

Ugh!!!! Some ppl should go to the south pole and jump as high as they can! (Get it? Fall off the face of the earth? Sorry, it's late.lol.)
Some ppl are real jerks guys. ForeverEquine, if that ever happened to me, my husband would have to hold me back!
The best way to get these jerks back is to kill them with kindness.......yes, on the inside, you want to kick their butt, but on the outside, just be as nice as you can, it'll infuriate them!
Also, beating them in the showring is also silent payback. :D

Yeah, that's always what my husband tells me, I'm a very physical person and get the urge to beat the hell out of people.XD
Sadly, neither she or I were showing but her granddaughter was and the girl I was assisting and photoing beat her grandkid!:D

I totally agree. I am a preppy people person, but some people I can't stand at all. I have my days, some brighter, but when people talk about you, I just get so angry.
I am a cheerleader who loves horses, so I get bullied and gossiped about a lot. Some people say I am a snob, because I am a cheerleader and they don't even know me. Then most of the cheerleaders hate me, because I am not the "girly" girl they are used to. They don't like it that I have another passion to that actually is horses.

That is so seriously messed up. When did this happen? I would think that even tho you didn't have enough evidence for the police (altho that is always subject to, umm, interpretation and manipulation by the powers that be, sad fact) you might have enough to sue them in court, especially if you could get Dakota's old owner to testify or sign an avadavit (spelled wrong) for you, I'm sure. I'd talk to a lawyer, anyway. Wouldn't get your horse back, but could compensate you somewhat and stick it to them where it would hurt the most - in the pocketbook! I am all light and love, but a sword to keep the peace is still a sword, and needed because there are people in the world with no soul or heart. :(
Best of luck to you, and bright blessings!!

Equine: What state do you live in? I'm a law student and a piece of notebook paper IS a legal document as long as it is signed by both parties. In fact a verbal agreement is legal and binding in most states as long as there are whitnesses.
But I'm guessing not if the cops let them get away with that.
It's really sad that trusting, kind people get walked all over by THOSE kind of people who are only out for themselves.
Ypur husband is right though, she'll get what's comming eventually. Even if it's not in this life. Karma is a Bit*h!! :D

Yeah, sadly this was over a year ago now, that they did that to me and Dakota and I just didn't have the money to start a legal battle. In some ways I suppose it was for the best because I never would have met Gambit, who in many ways is even better than Dakota was. I've mainly just filed it as a life's lesson and I don't trust people so easily now, which is a very sad thing to say.:S Maybe one day I can again.

It's really sad that trusting, kind people get walked all over by THOSE kind of people who are only out for themselves.
Thus the cycle is repeated. Except some people who are kind will learn their lesson and turn their back on a**es like that and are still nice to kids and stuff. But I was thinking that, due to my freakin' confusion over people (though, luckily, all the people at the stables I go to are nice...), I should just block people out emotionally and not care that I'm rude to them or whatever and only be nice to animals because they never let me down and nice people should just think I'm another a**hole or realize that I just have too bad of a past to be cozy with anyone.
though, uh, I would never be mean to mrs. rowling.
*Note: i know this came late*

I'm sorry that happened. I recently heard that one of my favorite barns around here, who I highly recommended, has turned into a snob act also.
My friend went to Mexico and had just had her stud gelded and needed someone to take care of him, so she asked that barn (they have been friends and have always supported each other) to look after him for 2 weeks... the lady said it was some RIDICULOUS amount (more than a months board at OSU, remember, for 2 weeks) so she went and asked another friend who was in close connection with the barn and helped with concessions at the shows and she said she would take him for like $150 less.
So after my friend gets back she finds out that both she and the woman who ended up taking care of the horse were banned from the property! all because my friend didn't want to pay a ridiculous amount to have his sheath cleaned a couple times a day and some food and water... now the barn owner is playing ring-around-the-rosie with what she said and that they just misinterpreted what she said... b**ch
