D-ring french link with a peanut or D-Ring Mikmar

I want to try him in a slow twist though.

Trump goes in a gag in the jumper ring and a pelham while hacking...or if I'm feeling adventures then a d-ring or just a halter and a lead rope.

Isabel goes in a full cheek snaffle and an eggbutt. Just for more info, a kimberwick is never a snaffle, it might have a broken mouthpiece like a snaffle but it is classified as a curb.

Eggbutt snaffle. Every few weeks I'll do a couple rides with a pelham or Boucher to work on headseat or something but I always try to wean him back to the big thick eggbutt.

Are you guys all hunter/jumpers? Just guessin, cuz thats where i find i see the most pelhams and such.

My guy goes like a dream in a Korsteele Loose Ring-Eggbutt. What it is is bascially its a loose-ring, but it could also be described as an eggbutt. It looks like and eggbutt, just the ring can move like a loose ring. Its cool, and pinchless too :) I highly reccommend it. On cross country though, I like to put a mild gag in his mouth, just because he gets on the forehand sometimes and needs a little reminder to pick himself up sometimes.

Majesty, the 5 year old Hanoverian stud I'm training in dressage goes happily in a medium-strength eggbutt. I am a strong believer you don't neccisarily have to have a pin-thick twisted hunk of metal in their mouths with a double curb to have control. Its mostly all preparation.

i use either a D snaffle and a french link, but if tewks feels a little strong jumping i tune him in a small phelem (w/ 4 reins) the curb rein works REALLY well @ getting him opff his forehand :)

eggbutt snaffle on chance and a d-ring 1st level lowbarrel port myler on max or a french link loose ring snaffle.

I use a plain old french link snaffle for dressage, and for cross country I use a D ring happy mouth with a link in the middle (it might be considered a Dr. Bristol). I feel like the D ring bit gets my horse light, so by the end of cross country, he isn't running away with me

it depends on what horse i am riding but i usually use a kk training bit and i use it since i am really into dressage it helps collect them up and set their head!

Double twisted wire with copper. He loves the copper and its a bit softer but i rotate it with just a non- copper wire bit because he bends the copper if i use it too often then he gets sensitive to certain directions. It is the best bit ever - i rode in a snaffle for years and i actually tore my rotator cuff.

Sadie uses a sidepull...and sometimes a hollow mouth O-ring snaffle.
Gypsy uses a regular little pony bit...looking to buy her a short shank walker bit in pony sized.
Riot has yet to be broke to ride...but when I tack him up...i usually put the hollow mouth O-ring on him.

i use a kk training bit because it is soft and it helps my horse kyzer collect up and use more of his haunches he has a tendency to throw himself on his forehand

I use a loose ring french link because Simon is a doll and I like how it doesn't create the pressure all at one spot but breaks it up with the link. But I like to ride in a halter and two leadlines since he is awesome. He listens to my leg very well so I don't really need a lot of hands which is good.

I use a kimberwick normally. Not too harsh but harsh enough. :)
