um.. i guess i just wanted to post this so if any of your western pleasure people (doesnt look like to many. :( ) want to post any tips or anything feel free. hes mostly ridden with your legs (ugh!! im still getting used to it) and likes to come off the rail a lot. hes still gtting the lope down but hes trying really hard.

(i have a really cute chaps too and show tack! woohoo)

Yea, not very many western pleasure people here at all. I ride my friends 22 year old qh, and when she was younger, she was allowed to cut corners and stray from the rail, so now, it's a pain in the butt trying to break the habit. So make sure he doesn't get used to it lol.

hehe ya i know. this board is pretty dead ;)

when i go ride max (who takes hardly any leg. hed really be good with someone who had no legs because hes superb with voice commands) then go ride chance my legs are like jello!! i push him so much.

also hes built pretty uphill (!! if i ever get around to uploading pics to PB ill show you guys. ) so any excersises to work that out? try and even him. :p

anyways tomorrow im going right after school to ride him (THANK GOD FOR FRIDAYS!! i can ride both my booyys!)

I don't even have fridays to ride because I usually have to go to my dad's house, and the barn that I board at is in the next town, so it's not like I can walk there after school or anything, which really sucks...

You need to get him off of the snaffle bit. I am not too sure but atleast where i live they have to be under 5yrs to use one. But you can not use both hands when riding in western pleasure. All i ride is western and am slowly getting into english so i hopefully know a thing or two...lol. But if you have any other questions please let me know.
