Hi,
I'm looking for a good school horse in either western or english.
This post was from Crazycowgirl25. ( She said that her computer would't let her make a post.)

I'm jealous of all these people with the money (or parents) that can get them a horse. Wa! Why can't it be me?
Wanna switch bodies, someone?
Haha, yeah right. Horse lover who can have a horse switch bodies with horse lover who can't afford one? Wouldn't be a smart switch.

Music if you really want a horse you can make it happen, it just might take time. I've loved horses all my life, but we couldn't get me a horse (or even lessons past once a week) for years.
We actually had a very small price range for an english horse who was a good jumper and stuff...I got SO lucky with Ringo.
If you really believe you can do it, you can, and if you want it bad enough, you can get it. Well, 99% of the time anyways lol.
I'm sure you have tons of stuff going for you too, and money doesn't gaurentee you a horse, or one that you have a good relationship with.
I know you really want a horse, and that you want to buy one and get jealous, but it doesn't matter who the horses belong to as long as you love them, even if you can't ride them or whatever. And at least you have the opportunity to be around horses, and read them, and write about them. Some kids don't even get that.

Well, when I was little, I was a little horsecrazy, but now that I actually have been around them, I have a theory that even if one loves horses in book, they may not be horse crazy if they met one in real life. True, I am, but I have a feeling that if all you do is read, you'll never know.
And I'll never get a horse if I never get a job. True, just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you'll get a good horse, but guess what. If you have no money, youl'll never get a horse.
Of course, you know that.

Actually I'm going to have to disagree with that. If you have the land (or a stall and access to a place where you can ride) then you don't really need money (of course there are maintenance costs, but if you work for a stable then you could probably work something out!) Shaz was given to me, Woody, my old QH was given to me (and he was registered! Actually, I traded a pony for him, but wound up getting the pony back because he was becoming food aggressive towards the foals...) Plus, my mom's rodeo princess horse, Cocoa, that was a long time ago. If you are able to feed it, water it, and love it, then go on dreamhorse.com and find the people who are trying to get ride of their horse for whatever reason. Some may be giving their colt away because they wanted a filly, some can't take care of them, and some are just getting out of the business or the horse isn't sound for the type of riding they do. Look out for the HYPP horses, I wouldn't take one that wasn't N/N (it's a disorder found in the Impressive [QH] bloodline), or one that's Navicular.
There are also people willing to trade stuff. If you have something useful and is worth about as much as the horse then suggest trading. Some breeding farms will do this. Just whatever you do, DON'T give up.

But see, I don't have money for feeding them. That's what I meant when I said if you don't have money, you'll never get one.

Do you work at the stables still? Is the agreement that you will work there if you can ride their horses? I know someone around here who boards her horse at a stable and works there for board. Maybe you can work something out! It may be a different circumstance for you, but nevertheless, it's worth a try!

What is your agreement? I know that you ride their horses, is it still kind of the same thing? Just keep in mind that if your stable doesn't feel like they want to take on a work-for-board, then others will. Please don't give up. Are your parents not supportive in your love for horses? I'm sure that, being their daughter, they will help you out. If you really want it to happen then you can make it happen! :)

They don't have a lot of money. And about the stables thing, I'm lucky to volunteer there. They don't pay anyone...only can volunteer.
Editted to add: my parents don't drive, and my grandfather works alot, and I don't have a car, so yeah, like I said, Lucky to be at this stables.
