I was wondering if anyone had just simple breeches,boots, and a helmet to jump in at my lessons I was looking but I didnt know exaclty now what to look for so I was wondering if there was anything??

I think it's great that you're looking for proper riding attire - it's a much safer choice. ^^

For breeches, you can find some at your local tack shop/horse store. They don't have to be $400.00 [believe me, you can find some that expensive], just something that fits nicely and does it's job. Dublin is a good brand if you want some lower end stuff.

As for paddock boots, get Ariats. They may be slightly expensive, but they will fit you forever. I've had mine for two years now, and my foot has grown two sizes, yet I still seem to fit in them. And for half chaps, get the suede kind. The leather ones tend to be more expensive.

EBAY EBAY EBAY!!! they have many stores that post their items on there. you can check their ratings also to see if they aren't scamming you. I have almost ALWAYS had good luck with ebay. I would DEFINITELY check it out before you go spending oogles of amounts of money!

I swear by Dover, and you can really find some great deals. You can really find some awesome stuff elsewhere though. :)

And remember, you can always stick with jeans and half-chaps!

Dublin are great for affordable riding stuff! My half chaps are dublin but my boots are harry hall.

And as it has been said... Ebay is great for stuff like this are you are going to grow out of them anyways, you can get desent stuff at affordable prices too :D

And if there are any near-by horse conventions like Equine Affaire, etc., then go look there! TONS of shops! I got my breeches at Equine Affaire I believe.
