Hi all,

I just joined and am checking out the forum.

I have a Saddlebred mare that I mostly just play with now since I don't have time for a serious training regime.

We have dabbled in saddle seat, western, jumping and now dressage.

Anyone else have a Saddlebred?

Of course I have a Saddlebred! :) In fact I have two!

I have a broodmare that I adopted from Saddlebred Rescue which is a great organization that finds homes for Saddlebreds, Morgans, Hackneys, and other horses in immediate danger of going to slaughter. And I have a four year old grey that I showed in hunt seat this year.

I've never posted here before so I'm just going to try to post a photo of my mare.

Here goes! I'm at work so all I'm getting is the red X. I won't know if I formatted this right until I get home.

Welcome to you both Trotter and Alex.
No I do not have a Saddlebred, but I have a Gypsy Vanner type Cob and a Shetland Pony.
It looks like it worked for you Alex, your mare is beautiful!

Welcome to both of you! :)

I wish I had a Saddlebred, but I don't regret that either of our beauties are not. We have a six year old sabino overo Paint/Thoroughbred mare and a seven sorrel Quarter Horse mare. She could be a breeding stock paint always, but we don't have any papers for her so yeah.

we have a NSH... does that count? Her name is Cynder (and that's my sister, her owner), and she's 12 years old. She was born of two horses that never should have even layed eyes on each other, but we love her all the same :)

Hello! I have a 5yo Saddlebred Mare, by Desert's Supreme Admiral, and out of a Caramac mare! I've only had her since April, and I love her to pieces! Right now she's showing novice horse and the country pleasure....but I think with a keg shoe and pads, she'll bump up to show pleasure!! She's my first "real show" saddlebred, and I've done most of her finishing work myself, we still have a long way to go, but we'll get there!
Check her out on my horses page, Platinum's Believe in Me!!!!

She's beautiful. I'm glad that you are taking the time to train her correctly instead of the abusive short-cuts like putting acid on her pasterns and golf balls under the pads of her shoes. ug, it's horrible!!! I love saddlebreds, but I'm gonna stick with our NSH, I like dishy faces :)

Welcome to CC. I don't have a pure Saddlebred, but I do have a Morgan slash Saddle Horse mix. Maybe that counts. Your horse is gorgeous though. That black just shines in Diva's default picture.

I do western, speed classes, jumping [kinda], and english, and gaited classes. Maybe we can help each other with problems since our horses are almost quite alike in everything they do.

I've got a saddlebred! And im so glad to see someone else doing jumping and dressage with their A.S.H.! I don't find many! I've had Indy for three years (today actually) and he's amazing. He was a rescue and we jump about 3' and have done some walk/trot dressage seeing as how i'm not so good at it. =)
