Well, I have started horseback riding but have been riding a lot. I learned how to jump and im doing great.
I was on a VERY well trained horse.
I switched to another VERY well trained horse but he is FAST. FAST.
He canters off the jump and im still learning how to sit up more quickly coming out of two-point.
Should I try and get Versatility? Or just switch back to the horse I know well....
????????

what i would do is put off jumping on that horse until u are more comfortable landing the jump in canter. you can work on that by cantering in two-point. u dont have to switch back, u can jump on one horse and wrk on flat with the other and soon enough u will be comfortable on both. it just takes practice! :)

If you are a really really beginner I would switch back to the 1st horse. Then once you get comfortable you can go back to the 2nd horse. Thats what I would do! :) Oh Good Luck on your jumping. I ride western but I jump my horse. I just moved my jump up today! She was doing so good! Good Luck!

i can't really understand what you are saying due to your confusing syntax but i'll try.
if you've been riding less than 6 months [or really a year, in my opinion] you should not be jumping, unless it's maybe the occasional low crossrail. i don't care if you ride everyday, you need to take your time so that you know for sure you have a very solid foundation to build upon. when people begin jumping too early it creates bad habits that are harder to correct later on, in flatwork and jumping.
but riding different horses can be good for you as long as you can handle their different styles. it largely depends on how comfortable you feel on a certain horse and whether or not you have the right frame of mind to adjust and learn how to handle a different kind of horse.

i would switch back to the first horse, just until i learn how to switch, and for the fast canter its just a matter of getting ust to it.
