So basically I am going to be in the Top Hands show in February. I was thinking about giving up on it all because I don't feel like I've been bonding with any of the horses lately, and without the bond, it's just not fun for me....but maybe I can just ride through this and enjoy the horses without bonding (haha, I wish...or maybe I'll bond again, but I doubt it).
The only reason I agreed to give it another shot is my supervisor promised one-on-one time practicing barrel racing. Hey, I just can't resist that. It's my weakness...one-on-one time because I didn't get enough when I was trying to trot on Deedee.
I hope it's fun again soon....

You remind me of my Mom. She just has a hard time when she can't click with a horse. I can't get her to go riding with me because of it. This is why I am anticipating the moment we find out that her big mare rides well. *Hopefully*
That sounds pretty fun though. Is there any halter showing going on there? I ask because we don't live that far apart and I need all the practice I can get with the classes and the colt I'm showing. I'd go if I were you just for the experience, but that's just me. :)

Yes, raggle, there is halter showing too because my supervisor wants me to show Addie, and I cannot RIDE her in a show. So it is halter for that.
Thanks, dixie...I'm going to try to have fun. Would be easier if I were still bonding, but I'm going to try!

Just have fun!! Just because you dont have a bond with Deedee doesnt mean you two wont do great!! Just trust her and you will do fine. :D

Lol, it's not Deedee I'm using. I haven't started practicing for THIS yet. It's either going to be Dewey or Ace for the barrels. Addie for halter...

Partly my fault for not explaining and saying which horse i was using at first.
My head's like that a little too, but I'm mostly clear-headed with school stuff and reading. Though yeah, I get these times where I cannot concentrate if you paid me, but my mind is way stronger than last year.

Oh, duh. It's the one at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. I was already fully intending on entering that one. Excuse my stupidity. School has got my own mind clouded quite a bit amongst other things. ;)
I'm actually showing him with the yearling class for the American Paint Horse Association, but that's close enough.
Awesome, I wonder if I'll see you there? That'd be neat lol.

Yeah, that would be cool! I'd love to see your colt (I know you don't own him, but I mean the one you're using)! Aw, I haven't seen a paint in real life before, hehe.

I guarantee that you will see one there. I've been there enough times and have seen the Paint Horse Show. :)
Hopefully we'll sign up for that, I've just got to join the American Paint Horse Association. His registration papers have been sent in already. "Monday's Pretty Boy" is him if you hear that name during the halter show. Should be in the yearling category shown by adults. I cannot do youth, because I don't own him.
I have some pictures of him that are getting developed on Wednesday.
