i found a picture i think. I am wondering what that thing that goes infront of the legs are. It sticks out of the saddle and looks like a thing that keeps the legs still or something. Here is a picture:

Its called a knee block. :) It supports your knee.

The knee block keeps your knee back [for the most part], and help cushion all the ligaments in your knee/upper leg. For the most part, they just really offer comfort to the rider.
I can't ride without them. lol

That's actually a dressage saddle - but as the above have said, they're knee blocks/knee rolls. I don't know if I can explain any more than they have. :)
