I am looking to get some custom chaps done this winter. I live in Portland Oregon and I was wondering if anyone else would like to get them done by Charles Pinnell (his website is www.thechapman.com ) he use to be Journeymans, but now has his own line. Patti at Gallops said he usually comes out for 6-8people, and if I could get that many she would arrange for him to come out. Even if you are in Washington he is well worth the trip check out his website his work is amazing. My sister got chaps from him a few years back and they are durable, well-crafted, and good looking!!!
Let me know if you are interested. If there are enough people who want to buy chaps (not just come and look, but actually order a pair) he will come out to Oregon or Washingon.
There are two of us right now...so please let me know!

Custom Chaps and Half Chaps Okay so I have been in contact with Chuck and he said he need about 20 people (not the 6-8 that I had thought before) I asked him what the average prices of both chaps and half chaps are so I can get back to on that in a day or two. But if you are in the Pacific Northwest and are thinking at all about getting some custom chaps done PLEASE let me know. We have about 5 people right now who are interested...15 more to go!
Email me at SevdaSperoff@hotmail.com if you want!

Okay here it is...
A pair of full chaps are priced from $425 in your choice of leathers and average $550 with additionalaccessories such as a monogram, fringe, piping, etc. He says he offers a wide range of beautiful sterling buckles which may also be added. Half-chaps start at $325 nd may also be personalized with the addition of a monogram, fringe, piping, etc. (A girl at my barn has a pair by him and they seriously look so good! Totally worth it!) If you decided to get chaps he would take a bunch of measurements to insure an excellent fit and he uses only the highest quality materials.
Come on people lets get some good lookin' chaps!!!!
