Anybody a fan of natural horsemanship? Well, Clinton Anderson has quite a few tours this year going on as well as clinics. I'll not post every single listing for the dates on this thread, because that would be a little much. So here is the link for those who are curious. :)

So who else is going to one of his Wahl Walkabout Tour 2-day events this coming year? My Mom is planning on purchasing two tickets so that the two of us can go up to Nacogdoches, TX to see the one in March. I doubt I can afford to actually be in one of his clinics, so this is the next best thing.

I've enjoyed watching tid bits of his videos at our barn, and have successfully used his methods to work with our own horses. They've worked some miracles for me and my girl without a doubt.

Just thought I might share though. ;)

even so he says he's a natural horsemanship guy- I kind of think its a cover up, personally I think he's more like PRACTICAL horsemanship. all of his little videos are things you can go out right afterward, do with your horse and see those results, he's not very much into pointing sticks and teaching horses tricks, and levels, unlike parelli. parelli def has his place. but I think clinton anderson is the new wonderbread of the horse world LOL!

imma have to go to one of his clincs. dood, I'd love if I could ride in one of his clinics. CHA-CHING birthday present MUAHAHA ;]

only thing, my horse isnt a skitzo D:

Silver actually was talking to me about Clinton Anderson just today. I needed some tips and excercises to do with Tannis, and I did some research on Clinton Anderson today. He's methods seem very "natural" to me. I personally don't believe that tricks are natural horsemanship. Not that they are practical either. They're somewhere in between.

I plan on reasearching some more, but this guy really intrigues me. Parelli hasn't interested me as much in the past.

Agreed, that he is easy on the eyes.

I think he sits somewhere in between, but I didn't want to argue with the website so yeah lol.

I've only done flexing, yielding/disengaging the hindquarters, and backing under saddle. But it was still his methods, nonetheless, that I followed with success. ;)
