Bridles w/ Flash

Is there anyway you can take the flash off the bridle? I found a wintec bridle w/ the flash and it's $23.99 (cheapest one I have found) but it comes with the flash. Any help??

Also another question...cna you wear half chaps at a local show instead of tall boots?

Ya, well whenever I get a new bridle it always has a flash, you can always just take it off, if you look at a bridle w/ out a flash, on the top of the nose band there is usually a little leather loop, that is for the flash.

it depends on how the flash is attached.


Some nosebands have a loop which the flash attachment runs through. So you can remove the strap but you will always have a little "nub" where the attachment goes.

On a few occassions I've seen flashs that are cut from the same leather or material as the noseband. In these cases, you're only option is to cut the flash off.

Either way, for $23 I'd say give it a shot.

well I looked at the bridle with a blown up picture and it has a loop in it.

As for the half chaps, ask your trainer and others who will be competing. If it's small enough, I'm sure half chaps will be fine.
