You need something flashy nad cna get the judges eye. But you can also have just a long sleeve blouse and you could put some bling on it.

I know you use a leather halter with silver stuff on it, and the horses are normally shaved. You groom them up very good. your asked to walk and trot the horse and halt.wear a nice button up western shirt one color to me looks best and a cowboy hat  and thats all I know

There are MANY websites that sell western halter outfits but, they cost $1000+. My advise would be to go to a website, find what you like, and then go and get a cheap blazer and a pair of slacks of whatever color you want from Goodwill and have a sew-savvy family member or friend add lace, tassels, designs, crystals, whatever. It shouldn't cost more than $50 for the entire piece! For a hat, I would suggest that you might just have to find a quality hat somewhere (maybe a size too big and you can always stuff newspaper up there so you can have room to grow)! Good luck BarrelBabe! I hope you do well in your classes!

P.S. Just to let you guys know, I have never spent more than $50 on an entire outfit!
