After coming to the decision that Western just isn't working out for me right now I have become determined to switch to English. It will do a load of good for improving my balance and that's where I need help; I want to improve my seat and equitation.
I've always wanted to start out with English to be honest, but it just didn't happen that way. So I'm finally going to be starting out at Bay Area Equestrian, which is a very prolific English/Western facility that is five miles down the road whom shows from novice to national level with primarily Arabians. [They've integrated some other breeds as of late I was told.]
I am putting my focus on dressage in particular when I get far enough to start that. :)

Aww you sound like you're very determined, Raggle!
Have fun! I love English riding; it's so easy to feel the horse move beneath, and so idk, just classical.
I need to start lessons again gah.
You'll do great, I'm sure of it. That barns sounds really nice!

I sure hope so! I know I'll look hilarious on that first lesson, but we all have to start somewhere.
I was about ready to get down on my knees and beg my parents at this point. Western just isn't fun anymore to me. Do you think you could get them to let you?

Lessons for me? Probably. It's just expensive, like anything with horses, but so worth the while.

Aww. Totally true. I think it's $35 for a half hour around here and that's a lot on top of our two being boarded, groceries, and all that. My Mom did say that we'd be doing without something while I took them, but I'm scared to find out what. If it ends up being something really bad then I'll quit because it just isn't worth that as much as I love it.
