ugh....my first horse! how in the world...

hey...i can not get my horse, kool kid to eat this new kind of feed im feeding him...can anyone help and give ideas!!!!??? :confused: thanx!!

maybe you could try mixing some molassis in with the grain...and maybe a handful or two of bran,and then get it wet ....what kind of food is it??

You might try mixing his new feed with the old feed and gradually switching him over. This is actually better for their digestive system.

is it just *this* feed he doesn't like? Or is he not eating at all? (could be a sign of being sick)

most of the time that works, so he thinks he is getting some of his old feed that he likes, and then once you switch over, he should eat it.

if not, you might have to keep him on a handful or two of the old feed

You should ask the previous owner what they were feeding him, that seems like the good thing to do. ;)

yeah...depending on what they are feeding him, you should maybe keep him on some of that
