Whenever you start to trot, glance down and make sure your going up with the horses' outside leg.
To stay on the rail, apply pressure with your inside leg and pull slightly with your outside rein.
As for bucking. Horses feel when you're nervous. So relax and dont worry too much.

Posting on the right diagonal can be tricky at first. Rise when the outside shoulder is 'forward' or when the inside shoulder is 'behind'. Practice switching and you should get the feel eventually. When you do glance down, try to do it JUST with your eyes.
To get your horse to stay on the rail use your inside rein and half halt on the outside rein, but make sure you aren't constantly pulling on it unless your horse is actually turning when you don't want him to.
If your horse is jittery, sit tall and drive them forward with your leg and seat, and act like nothing is happening. Keep your eyes up.
If your horse takes of bucking pull on ONE rein to turn them, and keep their head up.
If you're riding around and he's lugging towards the gate, push him forward with your legs and seat. Be firm and make sure he listens to you.

for posting on the diagonal check their shoulder when it moves forward, for a horse who heads for the gate tie to make it more pleasant to be in the ring and less pleasent to be out of it, for bucking as soon as you feel them getting readey pull their head up as much as possible. hope that helps :D

I did something for when i first started working on the right diagonal. Put a piece of ribbon on their outside leg than you can watch that. Its just an idea than you can stop doing that once you get it down.
