Im starting to get into Eventing.

Ok, just as a review I started out H/J, than Dressage, and now Im really getting into Eventing.

Does anyone have advice or tips on Eventing?? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have alittle.... I actually am also kind of getting into eventing (just for fun) and I love it! My horse Tia, is very very athletic and my tips would be tp have fun, and lisen to your trainer! (They know best!) Are you going to be in eventing for fun or for competion?

My point of view, any competition would be fun. So, basically it would be for both. :D

I want to try eventing, but my jumper is scared of weird looking jump. :( But we are working on that and he is doing really good. :) Maybe I could try it. :D

But I read in a magizine that they where taking steps to make the sport a more safer one.

They are making the jumps so when an anount of pressure is applied, like when a horse collapses on the jump it will give in so the horse won't get stuck. Just stuff like that. I think it is a great idea! I think last year at the Rolex 3-day eventing 5 horses had to be "put to sleep" because of injuries.

I think it was 5 so don't quote me on it. But I beleive it was about that many or less. One horse had a broken shoulder and another had a skull fracture and internal bleeding. Thats what I read in my magizine.
