Hey guys,
so, I'm taking my 4-year-old niece to a local show in March and we're going in leadline. The thing is, since it wasn't part of the original show schedule, (friend called in a favor), my friend and I offered to supply the prizes for the leadliners.
Here's my question.
What would be some good prizes (all the same since they will all probably take 1st place) for boys and girls? We have no idea how many kids there will be, so I'm thinking we'll have 10, maybe 15 to be safe (no child left behind, right?) But I'm stumped as to what to do....
Thanks in advance!

Umm, maybe you could get some braclets/neckleces for the girls, and for the boys maybeyou could get them something from a dollar store or something. Also, my mom and I are making horse shoes that have beads all around them and that would be a good gift for the girls. Maybe my mom and I could sell you several (we have made A LOT!) for cheap and you could give those to the girls and maybe boys.... Here is a picture of one. (Ours will look MUCH better!)

Well horse treats is always a good prize. They'll all enjoy that (as will the horses). Candy always works well too =P Maybe a brush or something horsey (like a hoof pick or whatever is cheap) will always be welcomed. Since I'm bargaining they are young, anything will work =P

Go out and buy random things that kids her age would like: stuffed horses, cute horsey pens and pencils, maybe a coffee cup with horses on it. Stuff that she might like. Then (if there's classes more than one) you can make the nicer things worth more than one ticket. you can give them each 1st place tickets (they all deserve it) and they can use their tickets to buy what they love best after the class(es) are over. That's what we do!

i like alot of the ideas.
But this would be fun as well, buy a crown from a dollar store and whoever wins gets it.
But you can never go wrong with candy ;)

That's a good idea, but the problem is that not every kid will be a girl. My brother loved to do the leadline classes.

well it can be a crown (for a king) and a teara [sp?] (for a queen) so there can be two winners

Most likely it will be one of those "everyone wins" classes, thats usually what happens at the local shows. And also, about half the leadliners are usually boys, so I really need something good for boys and girls....
Plus, I have no idea how many kids there will be, there could be 2, there could be 15.
Oh, and I forgot to add that the class if for 8 and under, so imagine the age groups....
Keep the ideas coming, and thanks for the help guys!

Don't know if you've got one locally, but at Tractor Supply there's some brightly-colored child-sized face brushes called Hot Licks. They're a little on the expensive side ($3-$5 a pop) but they would be a great girl/boy prize. If you tell a manager what you're doing maybe they can cut you a bulk deal. If you wanted to mix it up you could get brushes and bright, cheap leadlines.
Just a suggestion! Don't know how much you're willing to spend.
