Hi Yup I know the feeling...Scary! So here is some advice To try and stop the problem...
Part1.
.Get your Tack Checked out...The bit minght be to severe for the horse if you have switched bits? Or His saddle could be piniching Him.
.Have your dentist out to check your Horses teeth Especialy If he has a Shear Mounh
.Also Check his Back and hocks and legs ect, thease parts play an Important part in keeping the horse balanced.
If you did this and nothing is wrong....
. If you have switched feed? It minght be making him Fizzy? Hyper?
. Your riding a Nervous/Young/Inexpirenced Horse That minght be Spooking and trying to Avoid the object of intrest?
. Your horse is quite excitable? And being spiritful?
. Your horse maybe being Plain naughty? Gem and Freddie bolt nearly all the time! They just like taking the mick!
. This minght be a new horse and trying it out on you? Seeing if your brave or scream ect?
IF YOUR HORSE BOLTS NEVER DO THIS!:
.SCREAM IT MAKES THE HORSE WORSE AND GO FASTER AS IT SPOOKS HIM?!
. LEANOVER OR STANDUP IN YOUR STIRRUPS YOUR HORSE MAY THINK YOU WANT HIM TO GO FASTER
. TUG REALLY HARD ON YOUR REINS...THE HORSE WILL TROW HIS HEAD AND MAY REAR.
AND IF YOUR HORSE DOES BOLT TRY THIS...
.HALF HALTS INSTEAD OF ON BIG TUG!
.TURNING A CIRCLE
.GIVE AND TAKE WITH THE REINS
. TALK TO YOUR HORSE AND DON'T KICK!
. IF YOU HAVE A WHIP TRY TO DROP IT AS IT MAY ENGOROUGHE THE HORSE!

If you ride a boter Then I hope this helps BUT IF YOUR HORSES DOEN'T STOP REMBER ENJOY IT WHILST YOU CAN LOL! :p

My horse used to do that but hasn't in at least three or four months. I used a lot of these things so it does help. Thanks for posting this, as I am sure it will help somebody out. :)

Ringo 'bolts' when we go trail riding and he wants to gallop.

Turning them in a circle is the best way to slow them down (and stop bucking).
Also breathing and trying to stay calm. A horse can't run forever.

Don't lean back really far either, because that is almost like encouraging them. Put your heels down, sit up straight, and talk calmly while pulling on the reins/circling/half halting.

Lol Thnx Raggle Happy2help lol! I made this thread as My ponies weere bolting and I took my step sis to a riding skewl (She has never ridder and My ponies are too crazy!) And they put her on a Shetland called Mini They asked her to trot (Without Lead rein) and hte pony bolted with her (It spooked) My ss Came FLYING off (Bless) And the instructress Absoluteley bellowed at her Telling her to get back on (well you should anyway) And she told her it is wrong to fall off.....I was word less....My SS Crying...the instructress shouting....The shetlie was only a baby about 4 or 5...They should of really put her on a school master and on lead rein if it was her 1st ride...were never going there again! Instead we got her an Loan pony (Twinkle) Who's ace! My instuctress Heidi Says: She is getting on really well....I think the riding school was wrong to put her on a baby! And VERY unfair on the pony....
Just speakin my mind!
