I rode 2 plantation walker stallions when I was 16. They're smooth but just not the horse for me. I felt like I wasn't riding anything, lol!

I'm glad you had fun though.:D

I think i like regular horses because you really feel the ride. But I beleive that TWH are good for older people too.

I've never gotten to ride a TWH, but I would like to try! Im more of an english rider, and sense TWH's are mostly saddle seat or western, I probably wont get the chance. :o

A girl I know recently got a TWH that does hunter/jumper and he isn't gaited. So I guess it depends. The horse is a Paint/TWH. So that paint might have something to do with it.

Whoo! Gotta love the gaited horses. I bet it was wonderful! I've only ever ridden two personally [Buckskin SaddlebredxQH & Pinto American Saddlebred], but it's a great feeling. :)

i rode my friends tenessee walker horse and my other friend gaited rocky mountain horse they are both as smooth as glass but you wouldn't think they are actually different gaits!!!! :p

the person who bred ruby seems to think she can gait becasue her mom gaited[her mom was a morgan and her dad was an arab] and i rode her on the road away from the herd and then turned her around cus she was rearing and i didn't let her trot but SHE GAITED!!!!! it was amazing!!!!! she has a 1 footed gait! i am so proud cus she learned it all by herself. well with slight motivation...

but ya i am glad you got to ride a gaited horses its a lot of fun!
