Tex-Tan, Saddle King, and Billy Cook are also excellent and COMFORTABLE saddles. I'd check into those too. Not only are they comfortable, but show quality (most) and are made a little better than the cheaper brands.

The first and second ones look to be poorly crafted. Keep in mind that you normally pay for quality. Have an experienced person, like a trainer, come and look at saddles with you. It's really hard to explain what I'm talking about, but please keep in mind that the GULLET is the most important thing to remember. If there as any sort of slant then it will pinch his withers. You want a saddle that slopes the same way his shoulder does. If you're interested, I'll go down to $600 for my saddle, it's a 15.5". I will do this only because you have my word that it is a quality made saddle and I am not going to be a sleazy sales person looking for a quick buck. I have my saddle advertised on Craigslist for $800, but I would rather you buy it for a little less than you buying something that will eventually cause more harm than good with Creek.

Can you send me the link to your saddle? I only want whats best for Creek. I can go up to $600. My trainer is looking for saddles for me too and i am planning on showing her the ones i like before i buy so. Would your saddle fit a horse with high withers? I am just curious if you would want my 16" trail saddle for a trade than pay whatever else you would like for your saddle? You can say no and i can pay the $600 but i am just curious since you said you need a 16 inch.

You could get one of those Reinsman tacky too pads that are for high withered horses...

My saddle fits just about anything. Right now I'm looking for a western pleasure type saddle, but I think I'll be able to find one in my area for $600. I do have to say you'll have to cover shipping costs though. I think the link might be out of date, but here it is: http://eugene.craigslist.org/grd/726733874.html

This is my most recent ad that I posted June 20. I got a few replies, but they were low-balling me and offering $300-$400. I wont take any less than $600 though. I have used this saddle on Breezy, my 25 year old thoroughbred/arabian and as you may or may not know, thoroughbreds get some TALL withers when they age. It's a perfectly made saddle. I've oiled it since these pictures were taken and it has turned into more of a cherry than a brownish chestnut. You can see a couple more pictures of it on Peewee's page. I can send more pics if you'd like. I'll just have to wait until I go back out to the barn.

You can get them on like www.jeffersequine.com, www.valleyvet.com, www.horse.com, and maybe www.statelinetack.com

Ok how much would the shipping cost be? It looks like a really nice saddle. Do you think it would still be for sale after i sell my one that i have now? I really need to sell it before i buy a new one since i am becoming a poor college student soon and mcdonalds isnt much help with buying stuff for my horse.

I'm not in any hurry to sell my saddle. If I'm offered full price I will let you know, but I doubt it. In this market it's hard to sell a good saddle, but easy to buy one. I will find another nice one around here of similar quality, though it wont compare to that one. I love that saddle, keep in mind. Not only was it a birthday present from my mother, but it's perfect for small and large shows. It's not too gaudy for small shows, but still flashy enough for bigger shows. Plus it's comfortable and fits any horse I put it on.

ok thanks i will get back to you. I think i am going to look at some around here before i go out of town but i am definally going to keep in mind about your saddle. Oh ya how much does it weight? I dont want to put to much more weight on his back than he is used too.

I recommend Wintec's!!! Acouple days ago, my Wintec english saddle was very dirty so I just hoosed it off!! You can get the whole saddle wet and it doesn't hurt it!! :D

It weighs approximately 32lbs. He wont have any problems carrying a little more weight, in fact, it may help to build muscle. I checked with my post office and he said it'd cost about $40 (give or take) to ship it to MN.

OK so would i send you an extra forty dollars with the money for the saddle? Just curious since i still have to check with my trainer and parents and sell my other saddle(which one of my co-workers is interested in so maybe i can sell it soon).

Pretty much. I can ship it UPS or US Postal, whichever you prefer. I oiled it (it DRANK that oil, lol) and cleaned it up. One of the silver pieces on the skirt is a little tarnished, but I don't think I scrubbed hard enough. I'll see what else I can do for it. I cant include any of the accessories like the bridle, cinch or latigo, but the off billet does come with it since it was there when I bought it for $900 a few years ago. My camera's being weird so I cant take any new pictures of it (which would do it some good considering the one I've shown you was when it was FILTHY).

I can promise you your trainer AND your parents will love the saddle. I love it to death, but my rear is just too big anymore. I've found a nice saddle I'd like to buy, but I am not posting any more sale ads for my saddle until you and your parents decide what you'd like to do. I'll hold it for as long as you like and keep riding in it until then.

Ok thanks so much for being patient with me. I told my trainer about your saddle today but i forgot the picture. I am planning on showing it to her next tuesday if that is ok. Than hopefully we can sort out the payments and all that.
