ex racehorses are great, i see you live in CA. i'm almost positive that there are a few good racehorse adoption programs out your way. thoroughbreds make great horses with work, i highly recommend them... but don't get me wrong, they are a project!

Yeah, if you want an ex racehorse (thoroughbred) project, go to www.tbfriends.com and check his stuff out. I got my mare Fiona from there and she's been the best horse I ever had,,,,and none of the horses are over $1000. He's got a little of everything. He's in Woodland area.

You only saw three cuz he hardly ever keeps up with the pictures. He has 92+ horses on that ranch............so those pictured are not the only ones for sale. Best way to find out what he has is to call or email him and he'll get right back to you. I spent an entire DAY sifting through all the horses and had it narrowed down to two that would be perfect........ended up with Fiona.
And if you read his journal everyday (if you have time) he says which horses are coming and when. So if you're really really interested in a starter project......thats the place to go :)

I don't know if you have action barns around your area, but where I live, thats the best place to go to get a cheap horse. Some ride some don't, but the staff should let you know witch do and don't.good luck

AWESOME! I'm so glad to hear that you're going to tbfriends. Its so much fun! You'll have to tell Joe that Kelli from Nebraska sent you :) He's so cool.
Enjoy your trip (whenever it quits raining long enough!) and let me know how it goes!
