My aunt told me my horse might be in pain when I canter her. She is a 24 welsh/ Arb. and she told me to use the horse asprin. She also said that she didn't know what it would do to my horse. Kathy (my aunt) has had my horse since she was 6 and she had done everything a certain way. But when I canter her she shove her head in between her legs and pins her ears back. Then after a few strides she seems to calm down but then she does it again. WHAT SHOULD I DO. I AM AFRAID TO USE THE ASPRIN ON HER. :( PLEASE HELP!

the saddle could be fitting incorrectly, maybe the stuffing got in a bit of a lump and it's uneven or something. or, if you press your fingers along her back after a ride, if there's a particular spot where she's in pain she'll let you know, probably by jerking her head up when you press on it.
i hope this helps, i rode a mare for a while that i had to ride in my trainer's saddle because mine didn't fit her.
i hope all goes well!

yeah, if she is sore in a certain spot, you should get somebody out to do some chiropractic work, or mesage work.
I had a horse who always had a sore back, and this always helped.

Ya i would get a chiropracter or a massage therapest out and maybe even a saddle fitter to make sure its not the sadddle bugging her

it could be the saddle if you have another saddle that fits her i would try cantering her in that also horse asprin is not that bad i use it nothing bad has happened to my horses but you can also consult your vet
