My first horse show!!!! next saturday!!!!

Ok i am actually entering in a horse show!!!! Its at a arena a little ways from my town.... I am entering in 8 competitions not including the best decorated stall comp [I'm doing that too!}

So here are the comps I'm entering in

Pole bending
Key race
Figure 8
California Stake race
Scurry
Flags
Ribbon race
Costume on horse

i am so ecited for the comps... here is my main idea for the costume

I changed it from bank robbers now I am going to be the...
Queen of Hearts
have hearts all over ruby and tie red ribbons and white ribbons in her hair tied to her breast callr is going to be a [cloth] card that goes down to her knees, and it will look like an ace or hearts....

then for me i am putting a crown around my helmet and putting a big red heart on my shirt then i am going to wear a long red cape that goes over half of ruby's hind quarters then I am going to hold a red and white stripped staff that has a heart on the top....

For the stall...
I am putting a black table cloth in front of it then having glow-in-dark stars all over it and a hay bale in front with a coldren filled with black ice and a pumpkin on each side of the coldrin with apples all over the empty areas of the pumkins and coldrin then around the bars of the stalls i am puttign black and orange ribbon wrapped around them with like fake [paper] bats hangign on them.... then in the corners i am putting fake spider webs with fake spiders...


any tips of what i should practice or anything? Thanks i'll put pictures up after the show!!!! :D

Queen of hearts he he, thats a very kewl theme!!! You might find use in a pack of cards... you could use them for something to add to the theme, not sure where though! XD

I couldn't beleve it i am still in shock!!!!

1ST SHOW
my
1ST COSTUME COMPETITION
and i got
1ST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got first place i couldn;t beleve it!!!!! when they said my # it was insane [and my horse was miss behaving horrible she hates standing still for long periods of time!!!] but i won and i like put my hands over my mouth then ruby walked up and got my ribbon!!!!! i also was second in line to win the high point award [but a better costume won!!!] I was still so happy

key race 24.65 sec
and
figure 8 race 28.19 sec

I was so happy ruby did her leads PERFECTLY!!! and on the figure 8 she turned the corners so quick and i stayed in the saddle!!!!
it was amazingly fun!!!! i also met quite a few interesting people like 4 girls and 7 guys [i get along better with guys....thats what 4 brothers teach ya...haha]
i was so happy... i was amazing .... i am so going to the next competition :D
