We have decided to retain him as my Dad doesn't want to let go. He sees that like I told him this horse is thickening up and will not stay slender and as though he were a two year old on the track. Pepper will remain a part of our herd and hopefully we can put some training on him eventually so he can double as a show and trail horse. Thank you to all who replied on my other thread. It will be deleted by Musiccraze soon. :)

Well that's good that you get to keep him!

I think so too. It isn't like we can't get him training further down the road. Right now we're waiting on my Dad's possible new job that would be in Georgia. Part of me wants him to have it because Alpharetta is such a huge horse area and I could get a stellar trainer around there.

Awhhh glad you decided to keep him a bit. Didn't seem like the right person came along this time. But at least you get to spend more time with him. =]

Good luck with everything.

Yeah my Mom was incredibly unhappy with most of the inquiries. This child kept pestering her through email when the ad specifically said NO KIDS and only serious adult inquiries in bold text. Don't get me wrong he's wonderful under saddle but my parents put a rubber mat in his stall and he jumped around like a rabbit after noticing it. Needs some serious work on the ground to overcome his spookyness.

No complaints from me he's living the good life for the time being and might get to go for the outing in two weeks when I come home at a huge horse facility with us. I'll bring Angel and him most likely. Kass is pretty green and has been off so long I'm terrified of how she might act.

So what are you going to train him in?

Whatever we come up with. I might do a few play days on him this summer.

He would proably be a good jumper or english pleasure horse!

Yeah, I'm thinking more along the lines of Cross Country if I can get a trainer for both of us. At the moment he sits as kind of a family horse. I really don't need another personal horse. I have one and one on the way as of April/March if the AI goes through with my Mom's mare.

Or he could be an eventer(dressage, x-country and dressage)

I really have a miminal background in English riding period so it would take a good deal of time. But with the right trainer I could get off to a good start and grow with him I think. I am a really good bareback rider but need to branch out a bit more. Also, I would have to work around my college schedule. This is why we wanted to get him to a show home to begin with. We are having no such luck though and won't settle for less than the best. He deserves it and that's for sure. :o

If I can accomplish this I won't pass up the chance to get some showing experience since I plan on getting a trainer and showing on the Arabian circuit eventually with my '10 Half-Arab foal in the future.

I'm sure what ever you do with him he'll do it well!

I sure hope so. He may not immediately be trail ready or anything but I have a long summer out ahead of me to work with him and the girls assuming we don't end up getting him to somebody suitable.

Yep....

We just can't do this to Pepper.

We've given selling him to a competetive rider another chance. When I say a horse truly is different and stands out I am not kidding. He really belongs with somebody who can try and take him to the top. I feel like we are doing him injustice by letting him sit in a pasture and be a trail only horse - he doesn't enjoy that life.

Somebody told us to advertise with the National Dressage/Hunter Jumper associations so we did. :o

Wish us luck.
