well, spring has sprung, and it brought the mud... and i think that my horses might have thrush! yeargh!! since i've never seen it, only heard about it, i'm not sure exactly what it looks like. i think i might have expected it to smell worse...
anyway, what do you guys recommend to clear it up? any input would be greatly appreciated... my friend recommended thrush buster, but there are so many things out there... i just want my horses to be OK!
thanks

We have always taken a spray bottle filled it with bleach, and sprayed it in there to clear the thrush up. It goes away with in 5 days. :D And. . . I promise it doesn't hurt them, the horses never seem to mind.

if you go to doversaddlery.com they have soom diferent types of thrust busters for hardly anything. your horses will be OK and you can still ride unless the thrush "takes-over" their entire foot. If that hapens I sugest you call your vet 'cause then it might be more then thrush. I've delt with thrush alot and your horses ARE gonna be fine. :)

I think bleach works the best (clorox) thats what a lot of ppl use. just be REALLY carefull when spraying it you dont want it getting onto your clothes!

I really think that the purple thursh buster at like all the tack shops works really well. My friends and i have been using it for years!! The only problem is that thrush buster is really expensive, but its worth it for your horse.
