So you guys all know how I am in 4H, and I've been having a blast with it. Well the main reason why I joined was because I wanted to go to fair. Its been a dream of mine to go to fair with my horse and show and do all the fun classes. Well as of my 4H meeting afew days ago I missed an important meeting (4 of them) (they were make-ups) that I didnt even know about until I asked my adviser about some papers that I got in the mail!! She didnt even hilight these meetings at all in the past, and I am new to this so idk what the hell im doing! I called the lady that did the meetings and she said I cant make up the meeting and that i missed my chance and all this other crap! And if I dont go to this meeting I can do any junior fair programs, I can still do all the open classes (though Id be compeating agaisnt the pros) and I couldnt do the fun classes. I went to all the other improtant meetings and I miss this last freaking one!! Ugh I am sooooo mad right now (mad being a huge understatement) there are all these stupid hoops to jump through to go to fair. It's soo irritaiting. I have so many nasty things to say about my adviser, she keeps playing the I'm prego card and it's getting really old, and she has just gotten prego.

I am so mad right now.

It's ok to be mad! I would be as well. Just know it's not your fault. Newbies to any system or group should be properly inducted and should be told EVERYTHING important.

*hugs* sorry to hear about this, it can be a right kick in the teeth.

Your advisor seem as though she is doing a pretty lame job, pregnant or not she should still have a memory! And be able to tell you when these important meetings are being held, it's her job to!

It doesn't seem very fair to me that if you miss some meetings that you didn't know about then you can't do what you want to?! It's not your fault.

Is there anyone you can talk to about this, maybe someone other than your advisor??

Ya I called the extenchon office and they were set in stone that I couldnt make up the meeting I didnt even know about, and I explained everything.

My parents are sooo mad! My grandma used to work there for 20 years b4 she passed away. I still have to tell my boss and to be honest Im afraid to, I know she wont be mad at me, but I hate to see ppl mad.

I also have a horse show tomarrow, and idk if it's even worth going to.

Well that's very bad. They should of at least given you a chance as it wasn't at all your fault... do they think you'd miss it on purpose if you really wanted to go or something!?!?! Stupid people.

Don't worry I don't like making people or seeing people mad either. But you just got to know it's not your fault at all. I'm sure your boss should understand.

I think you should go tomorrow. No point missing out on more fun? And it might take your mind off it a bit.

Will you be going with your horse?

*sigh* Ya ppl can be very stupid, like would I really want to miss it after all the stuff I went through now.

Ya I think I should, haha but idk if they will be like u didnt go 2 the meeting u shouldnt be here haha (ya I know Im being stupid)

Yupp I will be taking the Dutch Boy, he really seems to enjoy himself at the shows as well. Also I can show at a barn I rode at and I have a chance in winning money in the winter.

It's ok, you're not being stupid. :)

But I think you should go tomorrow, go have a good day with dutch boy.

If people ask why you didn't go to the meeting tell them the truth, they could be put in the same situation as you at one point, and they shouldn't be judgemental. If you weren't told, then you weren't told it is completly not your fault.

Ya Im not going to show today, its going to be wayyyyy too hot out, and humid. Also there is a 75% of storms and some of them being severe and they are during the time I will be in the show ring, and it is all outside. And plus riding in storms makes me very nervous, haha even when Im not on horse back.

Ah that's a shame about the weather, but I suppose it is for the best. Riding in wet conditions isn't always that safe anyways.
