Dear god I hope not, my friend [who rides jumpers] has some very very cute ones for her horse which I envy - but I still would not even touch one with a ten foot pole for the hunters. If I ever do get brave and ride jumpers [not likely] then I'll jump right on them, and I'd maybe consider a cheaper one of the 'flashy' browbands for schooling at home. But nevernevernever will I use one in the hunters at the show, and I hope it doesn't become a big trend because hunters are already being come tacky enough.

Yea for the hunter's stick with the norm. Don't change it just leave it because you can have your fun in the Jumpers!!!! hehe

i have never ever ever seen anyone ride hunters with a beaded browband, and especially the ones with the fake stones on them

Personally, I think that they are tacky... They are cute in jumpers, but my friend who is a judge, when I asked her also said that she thought they were silly for hunters, and that. She also said that she thought since it's hunters, that you should be showing off your horse, not your fashion, and it was disrespectful to your horse....

I'm not sure that my trainer would allow us into the ring with a beaded brow band!

my trainer wouldn't allow us into the ring with a beaded browband either, she doesn't even like us putting twinkle toes on her horses at fun shows.

i think that it is tacky when they have the striped gpas, and the browband at the same time. its just a little to much.

I think a beaded browband would be too flashy for the hunter ring. I think it would be great for jumpers but I don't think it would go over well in hunter/eq/medal classes.

i love my beaded brow bands.. that is for the jumper ring.. In the Hunters, Medals or Equatation..i wouldn't even dream of putting it on my horse.. The whole "traditional" aspect of riding horses is getting ruined.. wat happend to the navy blue huntcoats, black helmets, and black or brown tall boots.. i must say i do LOVE the colors in the linning of huntcoats.. but honestly.. Beaded Brow bands in the hunter ring? thats taking it way too far...

If I had a jumper, I would buy one right away. But I don't, so I don't buy them. They're adorable for jumpers, but for hunters and eq., it's too much. Like someone wisely said, hunters are becoming tacky. I love styles and trends as much as the next rider, but I think both the hunters and the eq. need to stay at least somewhat conservative. Beaded browbands (for that matter, beaded or sparkly anything) is too much for me.

Now, for schooling, though, well that is a completely different matter... ;)
