Summer!!!!!!!!!

It is SUMMER!
Next week the people who are leasing my pony are on vaca so i get to ride him and my other pony tuesday thursday and saturday!!! I always ride those days, but not both of my ponies!!! I am ridin gearlier! Is anyone else?

I'm going tomorrow to take the pony I ride out for a trail ride. I'm not much of a trail rider, but she loves it. I'm also going to look at a prospect for myself. An Appendix mare. Then I'm going to visit my parents, and I'll be riding a lot there too.

Thats cool!! I have a horse show next week-end, and I was going to ride Belle, but then it was not working out for me to ride her in the show, so I found another horse to ride. She is kind of blind in one eye, so she can't do hunters, so that means I can't so hunters. So I will do jumpers, Eq. flat & Eq. over fences. I have never done jumpers before!!! The rest of the summer I am going to go to New York in July for 1 week to see my family, and then the rest of the summer I will be riding and doing shows. I got out of school today. (Friday, June 9, 2006.) :) :D

I made this poem, so don't think I am stupid cuz when my first pony died, I wrote it about him.

Canada

Canada was our Quartar pony;
That we had when we were small;
He was a lot of fun to ride;
When you could catch him in his stall.

Canada taught us how to sit,
And hold our hands and knees;
We had to learn this quickly,
Or he would scrape us off with trees.

Whoa!…was not a word that our Canada seemed to know;
At least not when it was said;
Cause he was a quick-stop artist;
When he wanted to launch you over his head.

At Halloween, Canada was our devil with horns;
At Christmas… Santa’s sleigh;
The rest of the year he was teaching us horsemanship;
Or opening his gate and wandering away.

The horseshow was a special place;
Where our chesnut pony was a star;
He competed with distinction;
Even though he spooked at every dog, horse, trailer and car.

Canada was our first pony;
He taught us all we know;
And somehow we lived to tell the story;
He was a special soul!

He was special, and whoever has gone through the pain of losing a best friend, plz tell me.

I like your poem too! I have had many good friends die as well. My dog, she got hit by a car and died, my other dog, his liver rupsherd because he was really fat and died, my grandpa, he got very sick and died, and my unlce, he was in a car crash and died. I feel your pain very much. :(

Thank you very much. I was grieving for such a long time, but my other friend amanda was very upset, cuz he had gotten colic, and then at the end of the day, he had a stroke, and she watched his life pass him by the whole day. But what I am upset about is: 1- I never said goodbye. 2. I feel very responsible for what happened that day.

I am sorry about that too. You know how I said that my dog died because she got hit by a car... Well, It was very late at night and it was very dark out too, My Mom had to go somewhere, so she let her out, and she went under the car to go to sleep. My Mom pulled away, and when that happend, my dog got up and hit her head on the bumber of the car while the car was moving. She got a very bad concushin and a lot of trama to her head so she died right then and there. My Mom feels that it was all her fault too. My family and I never got to say good bye. She was 14 years old in human years when she died. :(

Ps. Sorry for this great subject about what you are going to do for summer become about how your close friend died.

I am very sorry for your loss. My dog died the past year too. He had a brain tumor( which is common for boxars). But when we took him to all these boxar clinics, they never told us that it was very common that boxars get brian tumors. MY family feels that he was stolen from us, and he was only 7 years old.

Yeah, my Grandpa died a few years ago. I cried for a while. I missed him sooo much! We had to put my pony, Batman, down November 2,2004 at UC Davis because he had fractured his leg. I skiped school the next day I was so sad! I still wandered if they had done something different if he would still b with us. I loved you rpoem! It was great!

The only problem I have with Canada dieing now, is that his owners cant afford to have him cremated, so he is burried in a pet cemitary some where I dont know!

I will be going to New York to see my family like I always do in the summer and sometimes in the winter. I will be going there for a week. I am soooooooo happy that summer is here now!!!! :) :D :rolleyes: :cool:
