does anybody wear helmets for every day, pleasure riding?(flat work)
what kind is best for safety and a buget? :confused:

Yup, I wear one every second im up there, whether im riding western or not....it is a barn rule (although im the only one there now) and because my horse is blind. She is pretty level headed but she can be spooky, and I like to keep my head in one piece :)

I have an international i think its called? ive had it for 8 years, i think its time to get a new one...but it has been great for me every time. back then it was like 60 bucks but it was a velvet top one. i love it.

I wear a helmet whenever I ride. I wouldn't think of riding a horse without one; you never know what will happen.
My helmet is from Troxel, and all I know is that my daddy paid for it. :D
It was actually a surprise. He pulled into Tractor Supply Company and I know he HATES that store (I love it actually) so I asked, "Why are we here, you hate this store." and he's like, "well, you need a helmet if your going to start riding lessons." I was so excited!!!
So that is the story of my helmet. :D

I always wear a helmet. From trail rides, to the hunter/jumper ring. The GPA's are nice, I want one sooo bad!! lol! But, I have an IRH. The IRH's are nice. Their not the most expensive one, but their the cheapest either. But I like them. Their a good helmet. I THINK mine was about $65.00, but I don't know. lol! :D :) :cool:

I know you can get a decent Troxel schooling helmet for like $20.

I have an IRH and my nephew broke it, so I'm going to get a new one, an IRH again.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I always ride in a helmet, would never imagine riding without one after falling off and landing face first in the sand.

ya! i always wear a helmet! for everyday ridding i would think that an irh would be the the best! its is nto as nice as the gpa but it is still a very nice everyday helmet! they are also not as much $$$$$ as the GPA!! the IRH are not always the cheapest helmet but they are nice, and safe!!!
