Let's see...how do I begin?
I would like to train my own horse, but I'm not very sure about it. I am only a beginner and have heard the expression about green riders and green horses don't mix too well.
To train, I would just want something not under three with a nice, mellow temperment (sp?). It would also help if the horse wouldn't get taller than 15.3 hh, since I am short.
Am I over my head? Advice needed, don't be afraid to be blunt! :p

No! you are not too to far over your head! it might take a little time, but if you get a horse that you LOVE you and her/him should be able to come along together nicely!! :D :D

Thanks, timmy2 and zepo! I'm just afraid people would laugh at me because I'm not advanced or anything. I've been looking at horses for sale and they really don't...I don't know, they don't seem right. That's why I would like to train my own and build up a happy and loving bond with the horse. I'm learning Parelli with a friend and I really like his methods!
So, thank-you!!! :D

i'm training my horse by myself too. i've found it's very helpful to have a few people to call for advice! haha

also i'm going to start working with a trainer a little bit, but that's just because my gelding is pretty aggressive.
