What is a goiter?

I was looking at this ad for this one Thoroughbred, it said he had a goiter. What is that? I've never heard of one before! :confused: :D :confused:

I didn't know so I looked it up.

"Goiter is defined as any nonmalignant (not life threatening) enlargement of the thyroid gland."
