Since I'm a newbie I would like some suggestion re: good basic horse books to learn about behavior, health etc. (I ride western.)

Also, does anyone know anything about Bitterroot Ranch in Wyoming?

I have The Complete Idiot's Guide to Horseback Riding.

I got it for my birthday, and it's got some good stuff in it.

Manda, instead of having Horses for Dummies, I have French for Dummies.

With horses, I'd probably have to read the Horses for Blondes.
