Brown GPA

What does everyone think of the brown GPA (http://www.theridersshoppe.com/images/browngpa.JPG)?

I think it'd look good with a nice pair of tall brown boots.

I love how in the picture they show the helmet next to the rider rather than the rider wearing it. LOL. Because if they pictureds it on her we'd see a big bulky head instead of that, um, fashionable (?) hair. :D

I don't so much mind brown... I actually really like the color brown... but the pic bugs me because I don't think that lady has ever sat on a horse in her life.

uhhhh...the brown helmete isnt actually that bad..thos i'd definatly go 4 a grey or black GPA myself. buit i'd NEVER touch brown boots. I kno that its tradition 2 have feild boots brown and dress boots black, but....i think brown tall boots are U G L Y.

I'll bet it won't be long and we'll be seeing them everywhere. It's sort of like the Charles Owen thing meets GPAs. Megan just got one of the new rubber coated GPAs to wear in the jumpers- looks REALLY cool.

I really really like it. Wish I had mad money to spend on a GPA, of course if I did, I would get a charcoal first, before the brown. I guess I'll just stick to my ATH and CO knockoffs for now lol.

wow ive never seen a brown one before... i have a black one with silver on it but now the gpa's are out of style the charles owen are the new helmets... i just got one and there great.ha i would never ever wear that brown helmet...it would make me look like an idiot!! lol

I got one of the brown GPA's from Olson's tackshop today and the picture doesn't do it justice at all. It's not dark brown it's actually a really nice tanish brown, looks really classy.

I would LOVE it :eek: with a nice pair of brown boots. Being the weirdo that I am, I find brown feild boots to be uberly awesome and that GPA would go perfect with them!

Gosh...that would be sexy to have a brown GPA. I'd perfer the reddish rusty colors. Lets go get them Tash, with our Argyle socks, and plaid breeches!! :D

haha funny i got one to the other day .. now i must say you have to have it with the right outfit .. but its not that bad .. The funny part is the Brown is a tradtional helment .. These were the orginal helmet colors. Hints why the major old fashion hunter riders ride in a brown hunt cap .. but ya you dont see it much and now its not in stlye but a long long time ago brown was all that was used really. ;)

The picture doesn't do it justice imo :p I love it, but you def. need the right outfit. I was thinking a navy jacket with a striped (in navy,white, and tan) shirt.

But I agree, everyone was telling me to get it instead of the black one because it's so much more classy. I was a little scared to get it at first, I could just see a bunch of old ladies wearing them at my next show lol. But it will match my horse really well. The black GPA made me like so pale :rolleyes:

It's okay, but the one thing I'm a complete tradistionalist on is helmets. For me, they've got to be (at least mostly) black. Plus, I think black helmets go better with most coats, shirts, and breeches.

I'm in search of a new helmet.. I have a show helmet and a schooling helmet.. both velvet b/c I'm so old school.. but I'm not very nice to my schooling helmet... and I can SQUISH it.. velvet is ripping.. and it's just looks sad in general.. so I'm gonna take my show helmet and make it my schooling helmet and go buy a new show helmet.. now I just have to decide..,
brown GPA or CO? I want to be diff.. b/c you know.. unless you're a skunk head your diff (CO would work.. not the GPA knockoff Co.. a velvet CO), and the brown would just be hawt in general.

If you get a brown GPA, you'll be different :p Almost everyone that has a GPA, has the boring ol' black one. That's sort of the reason I got the brown one. Some people don't like it because they say it won't match anything except a brown leather halter :rolleyes: Believe me it matches more than a halter. But I would have loved to have gotten the brown or gray CO, but the tack shop didn't carry them.

But I would say just go try on both, and see which one you like best. Also consider which one would look best with your horse, because they aren't both the same shade of brown. But in the show ring today you would probably be safe with anything, just as long as it's not one of those plastic schooling helmets ick.

I'm looking at them now too.. I'd definately get it just to be a little different. For the eqs, though, I think I'd still wear my black helmet.
I'm also looking at the old school velvet CO's. haha. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to convert to a skunk stripe.

No, I haven't showed in mine yet. But I was thinking of wearing my navy jacket with it, until my tan jacket is finished. The pictures that you showed of the "Brown GPA" were actually of a tan GPA. The brown GPA is a little bit darker and more brownish. I think that it's ok if people want to wear them. I mean think positive.. at least they arent bright pink or green.. lol that'll probably come next year!

i think that if i had to choose ONE helmet, it'd be a grey or black GPA. if i could have more than one, i would definitely go for a brown one too. :)
