OK, there is this awesome Thoroughbred gelding that I want. His name is Traveler. Cute as a button! :p
I don't have the money to buy him right now, but....my dad is selling his crane for $50,000 and my mom gets half. Then I will have the money.
So, should I email the seller now about Traveler, or wait?
Advice, please, guys?

If you want to secure the horse, email them now, and explain the situtation. They might be willing to take a deposit, or hold the horse for you.

You should probablly email them before you even consider buying him! There are so many questions you need to ask before buying a horse!!
Will you or your trainer be riding the horse before you buy? Because if not, you definitely should ask for a video of the horse being ridden (preferablly by more than one person).
Then if you're serious about purchasing, call them to discuss further. And don't forget the vet check! If you do a deposit on the horse, make sure it is refundable if he fails the check!
