What is the best clinic you have either attended or ridden in?

Hmmmmm......I really enjoyed the Jeff Cook clincs I did with Ben. Jeff was very calm, thorough and detailed. Plus, he really liked Ben!! That's really the only recent experience I've had with clinics. I'm debating doing a Claudia clinic in November but just have to see if the funds will allow. Horses are so expensive!!!

Claudia is a great instructor! You will like her clinic. What time are you riding? I am in the 9:30am group... See you there! :) I am also a big fan of Jeff Cook.

I recently rode in a Ray Texel clinic...he is an excellent instructor. He teaches with a similar intensity to George Morris, a little softer. He is all about the details, no detail is to small.

Megan do you think I should do Ray's clinic next weekend with my mare? Would he be a good match for what she is? I have heard nothing but really good things, but I didn't get a chance to go watch the last time...

I feel he is a very good clinician. I didn't see him do anything with anyone that seemed unfair to the horse or the rider. He also seems to like a "hotter" type of horse. I benefitted greatly from riding in it, I am sure you would love it.

Ray Textile....
I was most recently privaledged to observe Megan Garcia attened a clinic of Ray's... I can not say enough about what a tallented clinition he is... I can only hope that one day my own teaching style leaves attendees as inspired as I was, and continue to be... I think first and formost he is my type of a teacher... (this is so important with any student/teacher combo). Having not even ridden in the clinic... He is a teacher that pays the utmost attention to every stride a horse takes...Intense attention to detail... With this in mind, for many it quite possibly could be information overload.... Myself included... though I feel his time created a cup of wisdom that one might take anything he/she might want to digest from... To watch, listen, and take the time to truely take in eveything he has to offer becomes the challenge... Wow... He is one of the most knowledgable teachers I have ever been this fortunate to observe in a great while, if ever... Having said all of the above... What a prime example speaking to the importance and necessity of observation... I often think, and continue to be convinced that I so many times learn more from watching than I do in direct participation... If you ever have the oppurtuntiy to see Ray... He is well worth your while...

PS I witnessed him at Pacific Meadows. Phlillapa Fournier I am sure would be a contact in terms of pursuing this learning oppurtunity...
