My pony has tendonitis, I have read that it can be caused be bearing too much weight, bad going under foot, poor shoeing, too much exercise for an unfit horse or bad conformation of the limbs.
Any other ideas? She hasn't got bad conformation, is asked to do no more work than she is a capable of any carries no one heavy (unless it has been without my knowledge) Could she have got it larking in the field? Are some horse's more predisposed to suffer from such conditions? Can strain or a sprain un known of turn in to tendonitis??
She has had an injection, and if it has helped enough then she has another injection. If this first one hasn't made enough difference than she has to have an operation :(
I'm worried incase I've caused this but I really don't see how! Any one know any more causes. The vet is out on monday. Guess we'll see what happens then .....
