There are cribbing collars you can buy, or feed supplements that supposedly stop cribbing.

I agree with Manda. Also: maybe provide a toy or ball perhaps for entertainment. Maybe Rosie is bored. Is she stalled a lot?

If your horse is biting on wood or buckets while it cribs, rub Vaseline where it tends to bite. They HATE the taste and feel and won't do it again. This also works for woodchewing.

Sorry guys. Once a horse starts cribbibg, most of the time it's an addiction a toy or vasaline isn't going to fix. That is if she's really cribbing and not just chewing.
It literally makes them high, like humans sniffing glue, etc.
You can try it, but feed supplements are usually a waste of money. If she stays in a stall, you need to buy a rubber feed pail (the kind that sits on the floor) and rubber buckets. Otherwise she'll tear the plastic ones to pieces trying to crib.
Also, if she is really is cribbing and dosn't quit very soon, you need to get her a cribbing collar ASAP!! Cribbing causes impaction (intestines gets backed up w/ food) and cuases colic which can be fatal.
Sorry she started this but it's really not that big of a deal once you get in the habit of putting her cribbing collar on her. Cribbers are still wonderful horses and I'm sure you still love her, now you just need to watch for signs of colic in attition to every thing else you do for her. not that hard right??
Hope this helps :D

i agree with ^, if she/ he is wind-sucking it could also cause the intestines to twist, i would say a cribbing collar is ur best bet...good luck!!!!
