Absesses

my horse has gotten 3 absesses in the last 2 months! im really frusterated. Does any one have any tips???

Epsom salts, warm water, 20 minutes, Animalintex poultice and vet wrap. :p Abcesses are not fun.. Hope it bursts soon.

I'm dealing with one right now too...doing exactly what Kelsey said. Lots of epson salts soaking and polticing. This horse blew one outta the side of her hoof up near the coronet band about a month ago. Totally sound the whole time, suddenly noticed a big hole! This one seems to be right down by the sole along the wall. Been a little sore with this one. Damn horses!!! And the one i need to sell too! Does not need to be having time off!

I'm dealing w/that currently too! My Yearling has had 2 in the last 3 months. Do what Kelsey says. Warm water, Epsom salt, then vet wrap and duct tape. G'luck and hope it's over soon!

Abcesses are no fun, that's for sure. My solution the same has everyone elses', though -- soaking for a couple minutes in warm water with some Epsom salt.
