Wes pulled up lame yesterday, my trainer called me to let me know, and I need to go out and see him today, and possibly call the vet if it's not better. I'm not really looking for advice, because I know what has to be done, it was more like me just letting everyone know :[

omg, I'm so sorry!! :eek: I hope he gets better! :( Your vet will probally tell you to keep a cool or hot compress on it depending on how bad it is. But you can do "T-Touch" on his leg to help him relax it. T-touch is like a massage. You can look it up online, but it's taking your three middle fingers and moving them around in a circler(sp) motion.
Hope that helps!!

Good luck with everything! I know how you feel... I'm currently going through a similar problem with my mare, Abby. It will be ok, I hope he pulls through! :)

Manda---
What kind of lameness is it?
In the hoof? Or maybe Wes pulled something?
Best of luck, post info soon!
{hugs}

Well I came back from seeing him a little while ago, and he will be fine :]

It's in the hoof, he's got a bruise way up in his heel, causing him to walk more on his toe, stretching the tendons in his leg, that is causing most of the pain. The farrier came out today by chance (to trim everyone else in the barn) and took a look at him. I have to soak the foot in epsom salt twice a day for a while, and he's gotta take it easy for a while, a month atleast. Thanks for your concern guys, I really appreciate it and I know Wes does too. *hugs for everyone*
