Elo Elo Ok This Is An Egmgency! I Went Out Side To Check On My Ponies And What Did I See? Butterscotch Sundae Has Mud Fever  ! So I Got My Mum To Diagnose It And Yep It's Mud Fever! So I Have Taken Her Into The Wash Room And Washed Her Legs With Cold Water And I Put On A NAF Pain-Free Mud Fever Shampoo. Then I Used One Towel Per Each Leg (To Stop The Bacteria Spreading Yuk!) And Bandeged It Up And Left Her In Her Stable With A Haynet And A NAF Mud Fever Supplyment In Some Chaff And I Just Left Her. But Should I Do Anything Else?

PLEASE HELP ME!

Use some sort of oil...like hoovesfirst mentions cod liver oil could work. I use olive oil or light mineral oil. Whatever you do...when it gets scabby like that...keep it moistened and keep moisture in there. Wash it out and then put some sort of oil in it. One of my horses that I sold already got caught in a fence and the only reason that he didn't look as bad was because I continually put olive oil on him. I can't help you much anywhere else, but that's someplace I can help you!! Good luck, I hope she gets better!
